Return Policy
At Serendib Sapphires, we want you to feel completely confident in every purchase. Our sapphires are individually selected, photographed, and described to ensure accuracy and transparency.
Inspection Period
We offer a 48-hour inspection period (starting from the day you receive your package) to evaluate the sapphire under your own lighting and equipment.
If, within this period, you decide the stone isn’t the right fit, you may return it for a store credit or an exchange.
Eligibility for Return
To qualify for a return:
- The sapphire must be in its original, unaltered condition – not set, scratched, or modified in any way.
- The original packaging, certificate (if any were requested and/or included) and any accompanying documentation must be included.
- You must notify us in writing (by email) within the inspection period before shipping it back.
Shipping & Insurance
Return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility. We can issue a fully insured return label upon request; the cost will be deducted from the credit amount. Please use a trackable and insured shipping method; we are not responsible for lost or damaged returns in transit.
Refunds & Credits
Approved returns are eligible for store credit or exchange only. Refunds to the original payment method are not offered, as each sapphire is individually sourced and stocked or on consignment or memo with our supplier/partners. Store credits do not expire and can be applied toward future purchases.
Non-Returnable or Final Sale Items
Custom orders, recut or re-polished stones, and special-request imports are final sale. Stones sold below cost or marked as clearance are also final sale.
We understand that choosing a sapphire is both an art and an investment. If something isn’t quite right, we’ll always do our best to find a solution that works for you.
